Best French Toast Recipe, Classic French Toast Recipe Make At Home Easily

Any thick bread, for example, challah, brioche, or sourdough will work for this straightforward French toast formula.


Ingredients

Eggs Large White
1 1/2 cups heavy cream, half-and-half, or milk
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
Pinch of salt
6 slices (1-inch-thick) bread, preferably day old
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
Pure maple syrup, for serving (optional)

Directions

1. Whisk together eggs, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl; put aside. 

2. Place bread in a shallow preparing dish sufficiently substantial to hold bread cuts in a solitary layer. Pour egg blend over bread; splash 10 minutes. Turn cuts over; douse until drenched through, around 10 minutes more. 

3. Preheat stove to 250 degrees. 

4 Place a wire rack on a heating sheet, and put aside.

5 Warmth 2 tablespoons spread and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a skillet over medium warmth.

6  Broil a large portion of the bread cuts until brilliant darker, 2 to 3 minutes for each side.

7 Exchange to wire rack; put in broiler while cooking remaining bread. Wipe skillet, and rehash with outstanding margarine, oil, and bread. Keep in the stove until prepared to serve.

8 Serve warm with unadulterated maple syrup, if wanted.
